    THE SCHOOL OF 2020

Starting with  March 11, 2020, any school or extracurricular activity which could have had the effect of exposing children and parents in public spaces,  was suspended, to reduce the spread of COVID-19 virus. It is a special situation and we have to understand the need to apply all the measures that have been taken by the authorities for our safety, namely, to stay at home.

The educational process being interrupted for a considerable period, has been changed to the alternative method of learning, namely: the recovery of the subject through online courses.

Online courses are highly effective, because I believe that the principle of equal opportunities is also used. Now, both teachers and students are making efforts to transpose the educational document into the virtual space. The missed classes must be recovered in physical format, but the priority is the classes for which assessments take place, aiming to make the program as flexible as possible. In these times of crisis, the mental health and well-being of the students must prevail. Our class, together with the teacher, Voicu-Popescu Corina, run our classes on the platform Meet at the webinar.

Online platforms are educational products that students can access using their preferred device, with results similar to private lessons. The whole class was very excited when we heard and saw each other. We also learn intensively at Romanian, and in Mathematics, both through what the teacher teaches us and through the topics we have to perform. Interacting at this moment, we all feel as if we are in the classroom.

Now let's see what some of our colleagues think:

Marin Sara says: “For several days we have been working online. I, personally, find it extraordinary. I am very excited about the hours spent with my colleagues and teacher. It is very good that the teacher decided to do the lessons, using the preferred device. This means that we do not lag behind with the lessons and to be honest, alone, without our teacher's support and encouragement, I would not have worked very hard. In conclusion, it seems fabulous to me what we are doing. ”

Now,let's  see what our our colleague, Stefan Daniel, has to say: "I started by being a little scared of the online lessons, because I didn't know anything about this, but the fear disappeared with the first words of the teacher who we thank for being patient with each of us. I feel lucky that I participated in these lessons, along with my colleagues, where, besides the school subject, I learned from our teacher how to use an educational platform, as well. ”

And last but not least, our colleague, Gușă Bianca: “I am pleased to meet online with my teacher and colleagues. Luckily, the teacher found the right solution for all students to continue their lessons. I find it a very good decision to spend hours in the online environment, so the technology can be used in a useful way. "

I also share the same feelings as our colleagues and I think that even though we were all anxious at first, now we are happym, both us and our parents, because we can continue our studies.

5 TIPS TO OVERCOME CORONAVIRUS ANXIETY

The outbreak of Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) may be stressful for everyone. Fear and anxiety about such a disaster can be overwhelming and cause strong emotions inside us. Coping with stress will make us, the people we care about, and our community stronger.Everyone reacts differently to stressful situations.  How we respond to the outbreak can depend on our background, the things that make us different from other people, and  the community we live in.

For us, teenagers ,is important to stay indoors, respect the rules and not forget to keep in touch with our colleagues and teachers via Internet. Taking care of ourselves, our friends, and our family can help us cope with stress. But most important, let's try to improve our positivity.

Here are 5 tips how to do this:

    1. Take breaks from watching, reading, or listening to news stories, including social media. Hearing about the pandemic repeatedly can be upsetting.

    2. Take care of your body. Do some exercises ,using things around you: a ball, a chair, a mattress, a bottle of water. Take a bath, filling your bathtub with some scented bubble bath. Smell the fresh air: go to the balcony or in your own garden and admire the nature: it's spring!

    3. Read something captivating. You will find out interesting things if you have the patience to find the right book: an encyclopedia ,a mystery novel, an adventure novel, even some romance will make your day!

    4. Take up a new hobby: crafting-you can make lots of useful things for you and your family members , using simple things such as paper, matches, glue, pins, rice, cardboard and others. Painting- it can be very relaxing to see the work of your hands turning into a masterpiece. You can even redecorate the room, by painting a wall in a light/bright color. This will be the change you need! How about cooking?

Surprise your parents with a lovely traditional dish , a tasty breakfast or a restaurant-like dinner in your own living room. Don't forget to set the table properly, using napkins, cutlery and  some nice flowers in a vase!

5.Always think and be positive! Someone said once: “The more you feed your mind with positive thoughts, the more you can attract great things into your life.”

Instead of worrying about what you cannot control, focus your energy on what you can create.
