Why are some products sealed?

Can we protect our food packing them in sealed air?

This is a collaborative experiment between 6o Nhipiagogio Sikeon and 1st kindergarten of Nea Redestos. 

At 1st  June, children of both kindergartens  had a live meeting through Webex platform. 

Children of 6o Nhpiagogio Sikeon left half an apple in open air.

Children of 1st kindergarten of Nea Redestos used a sealing machine.   They took a  piece of an apple and packed it in no air at all. They used the sealing machine, sucking all the air.

Both schools decided to leave the apples as they are until 15 June. Then they observe what will happen to each piece of apple!

This is the apple, left in open air....Nobody can eats it!

This is the apple sealed with no air!!!! IT IS READY TO BE EATEN!!!!!!

So, children learnt why so many products are sealed ...In order to be protected from open air and last longer!!!!
