MODULE 4

  • MODULE 4 – MY FUTURE CAREER

In this module students are called to think about and share with each their career goals and expectations. They are geared towards understanding and being able to discern and distinguish between society’s expectations and their performance.

Students make a list of three possible jobs they can imagine themselves doing, the values (development, prestige environment, recognition, creativity, etc.) they seek in a workplace and work field and then exchange ideas  with their classmates giving each other feedback and perspectives and they might not have thought about. They are also encouraged to talk about today’s society’s expectations on professionals. Students of each institution record their job preferences and career values as well as their society’s expectations on them as future workers and learn about the corresponding issues from their partners abroad through their recordings and Skype session.

Students are expected to practise language concerning the work environment (concrete and abstract meanings/vocabulary) as well as use language to express preference, future meaning and probability. They will also gain a fruitful insight into what they want to with their career paths.
