The first day of the meeting started wth an opening ceremony. The official welcome was hosted by Suleyman Ceylan, Neslihan Bacioglu and English teacher Filiz Kiziltepe Akyuz.

Filiz Kiziltepe Akyuz described the agenda for the participants and project's main goals and the activities to be done during the week. Presentations of our country/city/school were shared by each country, partners were informed about their schools, cities and countries. Some folk dances were performed during the opening ceremony and the project song was sung. The name of the song is "Sing for the climate".

In the afternoon, all the teams went to the City Hall, for a meeting with Mayor and Gaziosmanpasa District Director of National Education.

In the City Hall, students visited auditory rooms and had opportunity to play musical instruments. After returning from municipality, the botanical garden was created with the plants brought by the partners.

In the evening traditional food presentations were made with the participation of the District Director of National Education.
