6. ECO-RESOLUTION FOR 2022

  • ✅ 1. Avoid food waste!

Most of European countries have problems with too common food waste. We can reduce this problem if we plan our meals and shopping carefully, check expiry dates of the products that we have in our fridges and use those which are about to go bad. You can also compost the rest of food to fertilise the soil in your garden. For sure throwing out food is the worst possible option!

    ✅2. Don't use plastic bags!

Go shopping with your own reusable fabric bag. They are not only more ecological, but also more economic and nicer 👍 Use glass containers for food storage - it's much healthier solution💚

✅ 3. Grow your own food!

By growing herbs and vegetables, we don't have to buy them. They are cleaner and for free! No need to drive to the shops. And they taste so much better! Try!

    ✅4. Recycle Your Electronics

If you have a phone/laptop/tablet etc nearing the end of its useful life, don't toss them in a drawer or throw it away. Instead, find a local place where you can sell or recycle them to prevent e-waste from making its way to the landfill.

    ✅5. Bike More Drive Less

One way of reducing your carbon footprint is driving less.

As traditional car runs, it burns fuel that emits carbon dioxide.

✅6. Donate or Sell your Old Clothes

When you no longer want a T-shirt or piece of home decor, dont throw them out. Instead, donate these items to a local shelter thrift shop.

✅7.Check toilets and faucets for leaks .

If a faucet or other water fixture drips 60 drips per minute, that adds up to 5 gallons (21 litres) of wasted water per day. If it goes on for a year, that's over to 2,000 gallons of wasted water.

✅8.Don't throw seeds into the garbage.

When you eat fruit, do not throw seeds into the garbage . Wash and dry them. Put them in a box and leave it in the car. When you are on the way, throw through the window in places where there are no trees. Nature will take care of them itself.

    ✅9.Turn off the lights...

✅10.Reduce use of plastic - reduce water pollution

✅ 11.Keep Your House Clean with These DIY, Eco-Friendly Cleaning Products!

Not all types of pollutants can be smelled or are visible to our eyes. We tend to use many products that contain chemicals that evaporate into the air or are washed into our sewage systems posing a risk to humans, animals, and plants.

    ✅ 12Celebrate the clean environment with a littler-pick-picnic!

Choose a time for a litter-pick-picnic with your family or friends. Pack a blanket, some food and drinks, as well as gloves/litter-pickers, bags, and hand sanitizer. Walk together to a nice green area of your choice. On your way there, pick up the litter that you might see on the street or path. Once you arrive, take 10 minutes to pick up any litter in the surrounding area – even the small cigarette butts! Celebrate your efforts by enjoying the clean nature together and the food you brought. Take a photo of your celebration and share it in your community in the app

✅13. Save energy. Turn off what you are not using.

    ✅14. Use eco-friendly materials

    ✅15. Reduce Rubbish and Reuse…
