What plants need to grow
Let’s be young gardeners and watch our plants as they grow, in different parts of our classroom!
Using KEAMK (https://www.keamk.com/), students from all partner countries are divided in two groups: Group One includes pupils from Romania, Turkey and Grevena-Greece; Group Two includes pupils from Spain, Piraeus-Greece and Siatista-Greece.
Each group is, then, divided into four sub-groups.
The first sub-group will sow a small quantity of lentils in a small pot, then place it inside the classroom in a sunny spot.
The second sub-group will sow a small quantity of lentils in a small pot, then place it outside the classroom in a sunny spot (e.g. on the window sill).
The third sub-group will sow a small quantity of lentils in a small pot, then place it inside the classroom in a dark spot (e.g. in a cupboard).
Finally, the fourth sub-group will sow a small quantity of lentils in a small pot, then place it inside the classroom near the PC.
All pupils devise a plan when the plants should be watered (every three days). They also decide on the time schedule when they will measure, weigh and photograph their plants. They observe how the plants are growing and document the growth by posting photos on the Twinspace.
Use the following Padlet (https://padlet.com/katerinatza/5qvteczn4w452to0) to write down your observations and share it with your team members and partner students.
Finally, using Windows Movie Maker (https://www.microsoft.com), an animated video is created about students observations, through all planting stages.
