Diary of a pandemic
On March 5 the Italian school closes due to a health emergency. Anxiety over precariousness is increasing across the nation. All glued to the TV to get news and know the rules of behavior. It is the evening of March 9th and Giuseppe Conte announces to the Italians that "unfortunately there is no time". Too many sick people, too many deaths Therefore from March 10th, a new decree and lockdown. Hard sounding word to say that the country closes and stops, except for the essential services. The day after the World Health Organization announces: it is a pandemic.
We stayed home alone with our family members. The school kept us together through video calls. We have experienced many mixed feelings: fear, anxiety, hope, desire to be with friends and classmates. Now we are freer but the fear has not passed.
In this period we have made many works and we have tried to understand who the little monster was that kept us indoors and how we had to defend ourselves.
In a single video we have collected all our drawings of hope, from Piedmont to Sicily
