ACTIVITY: CREATING A PROJECT ANTHEM

DIGITAL TOOLS:

RESULTS: AN ANTHEM,  PBL-Worksheets

GOALS:

• to reconize an anthem as a feature of uniting and motivating
• to apply PBL, interdisciplinary, working in a cooperative way:

1. music lessons as a forum for intensive performances and analytical approaches
2. anthem lyrics in foreign languages, examination of its meter and rhyme scheme, rhetoric devices such as (I/RO)
3. physical education, sports: Musical themes go along with motion – dance performances and individual moves, flash mobs and chores provide the project song with the finishing touch. 
4. Biology:  Does singing affect our physical well-being? Does our blood pressure change when we sing along? Reactions of the human body to singing (and dancing) will be explored, examined in biology lessons. (S)
5. Social science: (dealing with statistics), evaluating the song by using statistical data. This data can be visualized using bar charts, pie charts, graphs, tables etc.
