    Place: Thessaloniki, Greece

    Participants: Turkey (4 teachers, 6 students), Norway (1 teacher and 1 student), Italy (2 teachers, 5 students), Poland (2 teachers, 4 students), Portugal (2 teachers and 2 students), Spain (2 teachers, 3 students), Romania (3 teachers, 3 students), France (2 teachers and 3 students),

     

     Objectives of mobility:

    Teachers:

    - See the Greek teaching environment (class assistance) and exchange of good pedagogical practices (peer learning);

    - discover important elements of Greek history, identity, traditions and culture;

    - learn how to use the project communication platform;

    - coordinate students activities and to offer the necessary support during the digital story process;

    - arrange the fourth project mobility (Italy).

    Students to:

    - attend the international Digital storytelling workshop in order learn how to using the WLMM program and to create their first digital story;

    - present a personal object;

    - take part on different social activities together with the other students involved in the project;

    - fill the newsletter questionnaire;

    - develop/ improve the students English and ITC skills;

    - discover important elements of Greek history, identity, traditions and culture;

         The teams were welcomed at school by the Greek teachers and they presented the school to the delegations. Both teachers and students have the opportunity to classroom assistance. We had a workshop: The students were divided into 2 groups: one coordinated by Gulsum Hatice Unsal and the other by Roberto Rivolta. Therefore, the technical sessions were offered by the two who helped the students understand how to create their digital stories. The technical support, Windows Live Movie Maker programs were put at disposal by the Greek team. In the afternoon, students had to speak about the most important decision in their lives as well as about a personal object

    Activity: Digital story- technical session divided into 3 parts

    The second day started with energizers performed by the Turkish, Italian and Romanian teams with the same groups of students. The technical sessions were coordinated by Italy and Turkey. Students have different edited images, add effects and animations were different, they made various selections of videos and sounds, have drafted their first screenplay digital stories.

    After cultural study visit, the teams returned to school where students finished their digital stories. In the evening, the Greek team made us all a surprise by putting in scene a wonderful show. The Greek students prepared traditional dances from all the countries involved in the project.

    Activity1: cultural visit to Edessa and open air history lesson to the Museum of the Royal Tombs of Aigai;

    Activity2: Presentation of student’s digital stories

    Activity 3: Intense assessment of mobility, mobility report writing, discussions about the next meeting the objectives of the project, awarding the certificates for teachers;

    Activity 4: Completing questionnaires by students for newsletter and mobility evaluation

    This mobility was a great chance for students to develop new digital, linguistic, social and inter/cultural skills. With WLMM they created the first digital story and shared different events from their personal life.
