In Barcelona 69% of people eat before arriving at school, but in Germany only 12% of people eat breakfast before going to school, there is a lot of difference, it is incredible !!!. Are you hungry in class before the break? :)

Answer from the German math teacher:

YES, my students did it themselves. By chance students learnded statistics at the time when the project has started. Students learned how to make graphs with Excel and could apply it for displaying results of the survey (3 classes of grade 6). My students worked in pairs.
