  • Here we list and describe all project activities and we indicate an approximate timing when they will start. In particular, we include learning, teaching and training activities, project management meetings, dissemination activities and other local activities and events in each school.

    P1 09-2019

    Constitution of the Steering Committee (international coordination) and three teacher ́s teams in each school:

    1. "Coordination Team" with two teachers who coordinate the development of the project, including the eTwinning activities and the creation of videos. They will assess the Project every two weeks. The "Coordination Team" of each school will conduct a Tasks' Assignment meeting in the last week of September to define the roles, tasks and activities to carry out.
    2. “Project team” with the teachers of the different subjects will be in charge of:
      1. Informing the School community about the project.
      2. Setting up the indicators of the scale to select the participants in the different mobilities.
      3. Choosing the person who will be responsible for the diffusion of the Project in each country.
    3. "Assistant Team" with teachers who implement several scheduled activities integrated in the subjects.

    Showing the Project to the staff and the educative community.

    Each school coordinator will call for joining the project to the staff center in the first teachers' meeting of the school year.

    A meeting with every member of the educative community  (including pupils' families) will be held to explain and promote the project

    The coordinator team of each school has to inform to their educational community

    P14 11-2019 Evaluation and follow-up of the development of the project by the Steering Committee.
    The work plan will be monitored on a bimonthly basis by the Steering Committee to determine how we are progressing in terms of schedule and budget.
    P15 11-2019 Creating and Publishing the glossary of maths and finance terms.
    P47 11-2019 Mathematical Anxiety Test.
    Students of all the participating schools will do the test in order to measure their "mathematical anxiety" level.
    P16 01-2020 Creating international teams working as” investment funds”
    In international teams (one student from eachs chool) they manage an “investment fund” with a certain initial capital using a simulator software.

    Designing and writting the rules that must be followed by the “investment funds”
    Every team will have the same initial budget to invest during the weeks the activity is being carried out. Each member will be in charge of the investment in one specific sector: Bank, Index...
    Teachers will supervise this work and approve the purchase and sale orders. They must also certify the market price.

    P20 03-2020 Open the project "Maths in the street" on eTwinning
    P21 03-2020 Celebration of the pi day (14 of march) with activities during that week.
    P22 03-2020 Contest for designing the poster of the Photo Contest
    P23 04-2020

    Photo Contest using the social networks and the hashtags of the project. There will be three categories:

    • Pupils of the participating schools
    • Teachers of the participating schools
    • Families, friends and whoever who wants to participate around the world.

    There will be a prize for each category. The jury will consider the following criteria:

    • Popularity of the photo in the project ́s social networks (number of views, likes, retweets...)
    • Technical aspects: frame, light, color...
    • Connection between the picture and mathematical concepts.
