How to cite from internet

  • If you do not want to be accused of plagiarism, you have to follow some easy rules to cite your sources properly.

    If you have collected information from Internet websites for your work, you should mention it properly at the end of your text.

    Include the following information:

    • Author (the person or organisation responsible for the site, or the name of the person who wrote article)
    • Title
    • Name of the website where the article appears
    • Date of creation or last updated
    • URL or Internet address (between pointed brackets)
    • Accessed day month year (the date you viewed the site)

    For example you want to cite the following article:

    https://nyti.ms/2DZEDKx

    Surname, Name. "Title". Name of the website where the article appears, Date, Url Date you accessed the article.

    Salm, Maya. "For the women of Pop Music, Cash is Queen".The New York Times, 8th Feb. 2019, https://nyti.ms/2DZEDKx Accessed 10th Feb 2019
