Our students painted Portrait of Ginevra de Benci with natural paintings.(they used red pepper,henna,cummin) they tried to paint black color with clove but it was too hard so they oil paints for it.(our art teacher Songül Bayar worked with them) MEHMET AKİF ERSOY RELIGIOUS SECONDARY SCHOOL /TURKEY (Zeliha ÇİÇEK)

We made yellow from saffron, black from charcoal and purple from beetroot.

Art lab: make your own paint at Montini Middle School

Kids create their own paint using yolk, 1 teaspoon vinegar, and spices: curry and curcuma, for the yellow and orange colours,then they add dark dirt to get black. 

Kids draw and paint the Lily, emblem of Florence, on a tablet  with a layer of plaster.
