Logo of the project

  • MESI4.0 Logo project

Teachers in the SZ Geschwister School, Bremerhaven in Germany conducted a competition for creating the logo of the MESI 4.0 project. They integrated this competition to the school activities of arts and IT subjects.

Firstly, students discussed their ideas about what MESI 4.0 was and defend their ideas to create the logo, accordingly.

Secondly, the different logos created by the students were discussed with the other participants to decide which were the ones that best capture the essence of the project (Modern Education in Science for Industry 4.0 for a sustainable world). Six logos were selected by the international team of teachers.

Thirdly, the members of the GZ Geschwister School opened the survey to the MESI4.0 project members to decide which one was the best. The election was made via online voting.

Finally, the competition ended with the recognition to the student who created the logo most voted.

The logo designed is based on the magnificent picture, “The creation of Adam” of Leonardo da Vinci. The left robotic hand highlights the technological advancements in digitalization and automatization, contrasted with the right human hand which stresses the different stakeholders involved in the product life of Industry 4.0. The grey of the letters and hands contrast with the green colour of the leaf, as an allegory to the sustainability of the industrial world in the 4th Industrial Revolution.
