    SUMMARY MOBILITY IN GREECE

The Greek hosts welcomed the Spanish and Italian partners on the 26th of January, 2020.

The program consisted of mixed group work. The students had to work out questions for their board game, after having being presented with the cultural elements of the countries involved (cuisine, important personalities, sites).

The group of guests too visited Meteora, the UNESCO world Heritage site, which has also played a role in the local history and mentality of the people. It was all explained to them by the experienced guide.

The Erasmus group also had a day trip to the city of Volos, one of the most important ports in Greece, even in Ancient times. They visited the Archaeological Museum of Volos, where exhibits which date back to prehistoric era and the era of Alexander the Great are kept. It was certainly a time travel into the past of Greece. A stroll by the seafront and local delicacies made the guests feel the local atmosphere.

Last but not least, a tour around Trikala took place. It is the home of Asclepios, the Father of Medicine. The remains of his “clinic” are visible. It was explained to the guests how his clinic worked and that he used remedies based on the herbs that were found in the nearby mountains. Most of the herbs and plants are still used by modern Medicine.

The mobility to Greece ended on the 1st of February with a visit to Athens and the Parthenon, leaving the visitors with new experience, new knowledge and new friends!
