Teachers and pupils from partners' countries and their Croatian hosts had a wonderful workshop on LICITAR HEARTS held at Museum of Međimurje in Čakovec.

Licitar Hearts are on UNESCO Representative List of the Intangible Cultural Heritage of Humanity.

The lady from the Museum has already prepared red licitar hearts for each participant, they just had to decorate the hearts following instructions. 

It was fun! :) 

If you want to bake and decorate your own licitar heart, here is the recipe:

DOUGH 

• 1 kg sugar
• 6 dl water
• 2 Tablespoons of licitar yeast or baking powder
• 2 kg of plain flour

GLAZE

• 1 litre water
• red food colouring
• 1 kg gelatin

DECORATION

• sugar syrup
• potato flour 
• food colouring
