Programme of visit
Monday – 17 February 2020
9.00 hrs -10.00 hrs – school visit tour/ students and teachers split up into small groups and taken around the school
10.00 hrs to 12.00 hrs – Icebreaking activities
12.00 hrs to 13.00 hrs – Malta presents its school
13.00 hrs to 14.30 hrs – lunch
14.30 hrs to 16.00 hrs – My country, my life, conflict resolution school activities – lead by Malta team
16.00 hrs to 19.00 hrs – walk around Sliema town and visit to The Point.
Transport from The Point to accommodation
Teachers meet at 20.00 hrs for dinner
Tuesday – 18 February 2020
9.00 hrs to 12.30 hrs – experts about mediation hold training and workshops for teachers and students
12.30 hrs – we go by ferry boat to Valletta where we have a lunch and then a walking tour of the city
Buses pick up students and teachers at 18.00 hrs
Teachers meet at 20.00 hrs for dinner
Wednesday – 19 February 2020
Day trip to island of Gozo
Departure at 9.00 hrs and back at 18.30 hrs
Evening free – everyone makes his/ her own arrangement
Thursday - 20 February 2020
9.00 hrs to 12.30 hrs – Partner schools make their own school presentations
Students introduce their schools and freely talk about their own school experiences with resolving conflict and mediation
12.30 hrs to 14.30 hrs – Lunch and walk
14.30 hrs to 18.30 hrs – Each school prepares a fun activity with mediation as the theme. The students will be split up in groups to do this activity – 5 students per group
14.30 hrs – 17.00 hrs – Teachers meeting – evaluation/ project activities/ plans and so on.
19.00 hrs – buses pick up students to go to accommodation
20.00 hrs – Teachers meet for dinner
Friday - 21 February 2020
9.00 hrs to 13.30 hrs – trip to Hagar Qim temples and Wied iz Zurrieq
13.30 hrs – buses return to school
13.30 hrs – pizza/ pasta for everyone – farewell activity with some music
14.30 hrs to 18.00 hrs – students go to Bay Street Shopping Mall with accompanying persons/ students
20.00 hrs – Teachers meet for dinner
