We are a primary school, in a southern district of Berlin, Germany. Our school is located in an urban, but very green and residential area. We are part of the SESB (Staatliche Europa Schule Berlin), of which we are one of two bilingual english-german branches. Our school is attended by about 420 children aged between 6 and 11 years. Currently 35 teachers within half of them english-native-speaking and about 20 educators are working in our school. The classes are given in either german or english language by native speakers. The children have a german or english-speaking background and are alphabetized in the first grade in their mother tongue and starting from second grade in the partner tongue.

As we are working with children from very different culture backgrounds and with very different levels in languages and social skills, we put a focus on giving all of them the education they need to be an active part of the german society.
