The aula3i with the Cabildo de Fuerteventura (Fuerteventura island government) organized various activities in the frame of the Weeks of science and innovation during the first week of November 2019. Some of the activities took place at the IES Puerto del Rosario, and our students took part at them.
On Monday, nov. 4th, an Expert Hakaton was held at IES Puerto del Rosario. Students from 3 secondary schools of the island took part on the challenge. Teams worked on Arduino-based watering systems for sustainable agriculture. Our students co-operated in teams to solve the challenge.
Our students commented on the Robots 'R Us activities with the experts, who were thrilled with the activities and showed themselves willing to help and learn more about the project.
On Wednesday, nov. 6th, a talk on creativity and STEAM was held at IES Puerto del Rosario by the expert Paola Guimerans (who already held a workshop on e-wearables at the Robots 'R Us 2nd meeting in January 2019). She motivated students from the 7th grade to find inspiration for creativity using technology.
On Friday, nov. 8th. a Minifair on technology was held at the Fuerteventura Technology park. Our 9th graders attended the fair and presented some projects there.
