  • A short presentation and comics that were to be shown during mobility in Romania. It was prepared by our students Barbara GÄ™barowska, Nikola Hoffmann, Wiktoria Formela and Natalia Plaga.

Have you ever read the head title of a reportage and immediately send it to one of your friends just because it sounded controversial? Have you ever misunderstood a text and passed the information further without even acknowledging? Of course you had, we all do that. Our community, relations between people are based on gossip, scandals are around us all the time on daily basis and we cannot really do much to prevent that. The only thing is to think before making a move in any direction.

Our friend from school, who is not with us today, has prepared a fake news comic. What's more, her name is "Plaga" which means "plague" and is kind of ironic. We owe her most of our work so she deserves a big thank you. The preparations for our presentation were very hard and it was difficult for us to rip. But eventually everything went fine and now we were able to present the causes and results of false news.  In the first picture we can see the person who found the article with the controversial headline.  Despite the fact that the corner of the article had the option "read more", this man sent out information about a new, dangerous disease.  This message reached one person and then the next and the next. These rumors caused a panic in the city.  and all this was a consequence of just one stupid, incomplete information.

Our project shows how easily we can be misled, which in some cases can lead to perturbation. People tend to believe in everything they read online and to every title they see in a colorful magazine and our duty, as the young, open-minded generation is to make speciality aware of the phenomenon of fake news.
