Hi  , we want you to introduce. (See  the video - Planting and circle)

We decided that through our work we introduce 

ourselves and our school environment. 

Maybe our English is not the best but just 

trying to be and we want to improve. 

Also the pronunciation still will improve. 

So far we are so what we are. 

Pupils were initially afraid to speak mathematics 

in English but gradually released at work.

Our school is in a very nice city Martin in Slovakia. 

Surroundings  of   our   school is very nice. 

Near   the   mountain where  we go skiing.

Our school has about 140 pupils from 6 to 15 years. 

In each class is about 10 students. 

In the  classroom where the oldest pupils 

is only 6 students. 

Pupils learn two languages ​​.

 Native   language  and English. 

They also learn mathematics, physics, chemistry, biology, 

geography, arts, music, physical education, technical skills. 

We do a lot of tours and excursions.

Near our school is a nice playground 

and running track. 

In the middle of the field  where it is necessary 

to plant grass seed.

Students already know to calculate perimeter 

and area of ​​a circle and now have to use 

this knowledge in practice. 

Task was: 

How much is grass seed that we need 

to plant lawn around the running track.

Students first had to find the necessary

 informations on the internet and also

to measure. Students then used the information 

identified and calculated example. 

And  what about the students?

Hi! I am Ema. I am 14. And I do judo. And I am dancer too. It was most important project for me.  Because when you must do mathematics in English it is difficult i think. It is good think this project , because you can be better in mathematics and English too. So I am happy because I could be in  this project. Bye

Hi! My name is Nerea but call me Ner. I am 14 years old I am from Spain. I am a swimmer since I was young . I decided to participate on thin  project because I wanted to try something new. And while we were doing the  project I realized that we can enjoy the maths too.
