ROBOTICS IN CLASS

  • Using robot technology is the core value of this project. This activity provides endless opportunities for collaborative work among partners and beyond. We build confidence and love towards ICT from a very early age.

    SCRATCH & SCRATCH JR

Scratch is a free programming language and online community where you can create your own interactive stories, games, and animations.

As we aim for involving as young as our KS1 aged children with our STS project we decided to use Scratch Jr as well. Coding is the new literacy! With ScratchJr, young children (ages 5-7) can program their own interactive stories and games. In the process, they learn to solve problems, design projects, and express themselves creatively on the computer.

Robotic arms are indispensable tools in both industry and education. The robotic arm currently used in the MIT class! In this challenge, our students will use a model robotic arm to move items from one place to another using their coding/programming skills. This activity is part of our Robotics in Class activity for our STS project.

Please find my very first video on the (lengthy) process of assembling this robotic arm...! :) I am planning to introduce our brand new robot in November (briefly), shortly after our return from the Halloween break.
