Kick off meeting in the Czech Republic

  • Term: 22 - 26 October 2018

    Programme:

    Description:

In the term from October 22 till October 26, the kick off meeting of the project Erasmus+, KA2 called “Four shades of literacy” was held in Pribram. Four involved schools (OA a VOŠ Příbram, Berufsbildende Schule Idar-Oberstein Harald Fissler Schule, 2nd Vocational Highschool of Heraklion, Lycée Follereau) are going to work on development of media, financial, social and cultural literacy. Participating students are going to gain skills in the four above mentioned topics thanks to creating of presentations, worksheets and questionnaires related to these topics. An essential part of this project is also a visit of every partner school.

The aim of the kick-off meeting was to define the precise action plan, to propose terms of mobilities, to specify particular project outcomes and to get acquainted with the mobility tool. The project results will be published in E-twinning, for that reason a workshop on ICT tools was held. It focused on practical using of E-twinning and on ICT tools which will be used during the project life cycle. After hard work, there was also time to experience the hosting town. A celebration, organised by the municipality of Pribram, was aimed at celebrating the 100 anniversary of the republic. Thanks to the event called “Experience it again” the project partners had the chance to learn about the history of the Czech Republic. Gaining information about other European countries is an indirect project result which represents an added European value useful for students as well as involved teachers.

Last but not least visit to the Central Bohemian Region was realised. Project partners presented the project to the workers of the departments of education. The Central Bohemian Region cooperates closely with Rheinland-Pfalz and Burgund within the so-called “4-side-agreement” for a long time and partnership with schools from Germany and France, based in these regions, represents an example of a good practice in the sphere of regional cooperation. We believe that the kick-off meeting initiated a successful start of our project and we all glad that our students will travel abroad and learn by working on the project.
