Modern Wonders

  • We all know a lot of Monuments of Cultural Heritage! We visit them, present them, photograph them!

    But what about Modern Wonders? What do our countries have to show?

    All partners have a survey in their schools so that they collect Modern Wonders such as buildings, squares, bridges, statues, works of Art etc!

    Then, during the virtual visit in Italy, the partners worked in international groups and added their Modern Wonders first in a Google Slides presentation...

  • Modern Wonders

    Cyprus 1

    A leaflet with ten modern wonders was given to the students of grades 4, 5 and 6 (100 students) and they had to cirlce their favourite one.

    Cyprus 2

    The majority of students (18), selected the Oval building in Limassol. The second favourite (selected by 16 students), was Asprokremmos dam in Paphos.

    Modern Wonders Survey Spain

    Spanish students did a survey in Google Forms where they had to choose two important monuments out of 7 more from Spain. The two winner monuments were "Dama Oferente" statue with a 50% and "La Alhambra" with a 31,8%.

    Italy

    In Italy pupils selected 2 modern wonders voting from a list of 10 monuments. The most voted were Maxxi (in Rome) and Calatrava Bridge (in Venice).

    Greek Modern Wonders Survey

    Students of the 6th grade decided which Greek Modern Wonders to add in a survey. Then students of this class as well as other school students voted for the best 2. They chose the Rio Bridge which is near our city and the Saint Andreas Church which is in Patra and it's the biggest church in Greece. (Andriana Dimitropoulou & Stella Koskina)

    The students who belonged to the international group on 'Greece' are adding the text and images of Saint Andreas, the biggest church in Greece, which is in the partner city of Patra.

    Polish Modern Wonders

    Results of the survey conducted through Google Forms: the two most voted modern wonders were: Krzywy Domek (Crooked House) in Sopot and Dom do góry nogami (Upside Down House) in Szymbark.

    Croatian modern wonders

    The Museum of Contemporary Art and Monument to the Sun or The Greeting to the Sun.
