Happy Easter from Turkey

 

 

We don't have any celebration in March; but we celebrate 23re April Children's Day

 

In April we always celebrate the day of the patron of our school - Jan Karski. Every year we have different events - we have had this patron for 6 years. This year we organized a chess tournement as professor Karski liked to play chess. And we organized a competition to prepare a boardgame abour Karski's life. In the afternoon students came to school and they played the games the har prepared. The atmosphere was great and we'll definitely continue this tradition!

 

 

 

One of our school celebrations in Gimnazjum nr 14 (Ruda Sląska) is an Open Day organized annually in March or April. It's prepared in different ways but we always present our eTwinning projects. Here are some photos taken in different classrooms in our school during this day!

 

 

 

 

CELEBRATING INTERNATIONAL MOTHER LANGUAGE DAY!

21st February is celebrated as International Mother Language Day. In Gimnazjum nr 14 Polish language teachers organized games and quizzes for students who could present their knowledge about literature and grammar. And obviously they did their best to win the competition:-)

 

Our school is a very sporty school. We have a floorball team and also a team of majorettes.
 They are called Adelline and two teachers from our school are their coaches. 
This team has been training together for five years and they are winning almost all the competitions.
 The good thing is that anybody can start training with them. 
They have team formations, pair and also individual performances. There is more than a hundred girls in this group.
