Christmas in Norway:
In Norway we have a lot of traditions during the 24 first days of December, but I am going to
write about what I do for Christmas. First off when I wake up I put on my clothes (Of course),
and then I wash my face (I do these things every day, not only for Christmas). Then I get to
open small present, because my mom said she used because she couldn’t wait to the
evening
. On the day we eat some porridge that my grandma makes, I’m not really fond of porridge.
And after we have eaten up the porridge my dad picks up me and my little brother to visit my
grandma on Kårvåg for “Christmas lunch” as she calls it. And when we are there we get to
bring home the presents to us from my other family members. And when we get back home
we just watch TV until the evening.
And when the evening comes we eat first then we open up the presents. And as usual my
parents and grandparents eat as much and as slow as possible because they want to annoy
me and my little brother (Just for fun though, and because we don’t eat ribs every day, just
for Christmas.) And when they’re finally done we get to open up the presents. And because
my parents are not together I will have to celebrate Christmas at Røsand.
It is a very nice presentation about Croation Christmas. I tried to help with the presentation. I have changed the red ink because it iwas very difficult to read it. I hope you don´t mind, our Croatian friends. Well done. Nada
A recepi on a popular Christmas cookie. One of the Norwegian students favorite :).
