Easter in Greece is really special! We would therefore like to share some of our traditions with you. On Maundy Thursday all Greeks prepare for the Holy Weekend. Everybody makes the delicious sweet bread called tsoureki or buys it from a bakery. This is eaten on Easter Sunday, as the free braids of the tsoureki represent the Holy Trinity.
Additionally, eggs are being boiled and dyed red.
