''Dimitrie Bolintineanu'' Technological High School is a theoretical and vocational high school with courses in Mathematics and IT, Science, Foreign Languages, Economics and Trade, Mechanics, Electrical Sciences and Textile Technology, with about 86 teachers.

It's placed in an urban area, in a small town located 20 km from Bucharest, and it is attended by 1600 students aged 15-19. 81.4 per cent of the students come from the rural area, approx. 60 p.c. come from disadvantaged backgrounds (from families where one or both parents do not have a steady job, families with one or both parents having a low education level, one or both parents working abroad, broken families, ethnic minorities etc.).

The large number of students who commute to school determines a high risk of early dropout. The low absorption capability on the labor market and reduced economic development of the communities these students come from making it hard for them to find a job consistent with their training, so they have a low motivation to train in a profession or continue their studies (especially in the technological education).

There has been a constant preoccupation for the topic of sustainable development in our school. Since 2013 it has organized and hold the Symposium entitled "Environment and Sustainable Development", an annual event that has involved almost all teachers and students from our school. It starts out as a regional event and currently it has expanded into an inter-regional one. We are motivated in the following years to organize it at national and international level. In the Symposium teachers and students from the entire region carry out activities and presented various types of materials on the topic of sustainable development.

The COMENIUS Project, (2008-2010), entitled "The influence of the cultural environment of the young individual, a citizen of his country and of the EU" allowed the students and teachers to come in contact with other cultures, to communicate and cooperate in the achievement of common activities.

Now we are motivated to repeat this action and both students and teachers to learn more about entrepreneurship education in EU, to be open minded to other cultures, improve their IT and foreign language skills.

The school also participated in the two POS DRU projects dealing with entrepreneurship and minicompanies.

The key persons involved in this project are:

    - Mihaela Enache, the principal of the school, is the coordinator of the project team and will manage the budget.

    - Romica Marin, a Geography teacher with extended experience in projects related to sustainable development.

    - Silvia Enache, a technical teacher. She is certified in entrepreneurship education and project management.

    - Silvia Cirstea, an English teacher, with expertise in translations.

    - Madalina Dionysatos is a literature teacher,. She is an advisor on educational projects and programmes.

    - Catalin Tudose, an IT&C specialist, with expertise in photo-video editing.
