Our school is a professional institution which provides education and training according to the state educational requirements and standards of the EU. It is situated in a region where the main priority in the economic development is agriculture and tourism industry.

The school is the only one that provides education and training in the field of veterinarian medicine for secondary students. It’s one of the three agricultural and veterinary schools in the country and enrolls students from 6 Bulgarian districts. There are 130 students, aged 14-19 and 15 teachers in general and VET subjects.

The program duration is a 5-year course for the professions of: “Veterinary technician” and “Technologist for food and drinks quality”. Most of students come from rural areas and small towns and their parents are engaged in breeding, raising a different number and types of animals.

Since 2005 the school successfully implemented many projects under EU programs "Leonardo da Vinci" and "Erasmus +" K1, "Comenius", and "Erasmus +" K2 "School education". The school has been awarded 5 times with a certificate of appreciation by the Bulgarian National Erasmus Agency.

The school takes part in various initiatives supported by Ministry of education and private foundations. Students participate in The “Manager for a Day”, “Smart Start’’, “Virtual company"', “Future Agro challenge” and the annual national competitions in Junior Achievement Bulgaria’s most popular program. Student mini-company mainly specializes in the production of red Californian worms, but we start flower farming business and making flower supplies too.

In practice we provide end-to-end production because the Californian worms eat decaying animal waste from the school livestock training base for raising cattle, in order to generate organic humus. We also use this type of fertilizer to grown our flowers.

There is a well-established team of teachers of general and special/agricultural subject who have taken part in the development of European projects and implementation of transnational mobility. Each member has a clear division of responsibilities at different levels and participated in previous Comenius/Leonardo da Vinci and K1, K2 projects.

The principal, dr. Svetla Todorova is an agricultural expert who coordinates the school team, monitors the activities and organizing the dissemination of results.

Hristo Milushev (a contact person) has project experience both as a leader or a partner in many European projects since 2006. He coordinates all activities with partners and implemented correspondence with them.

Zhivka Raykova is teacher of economics and entrepreneurship and she is engaged in the production of red Californian worms, manufacturing and selling of fertilizers and growing flowers. She will take over the coordination work in case the principle and the coordinator leave their position.

Dr.Daniel Dimitrov (deputy principle) is responsible for organizing the distribution of students in farms.
