During the Polish mobility we showed our partners the Polish national heritage sites included in the UNESCO list. The program of the three-day visit included places such as the castle in Malbork and the old towns in Toruń and Gdańsk, which were entered on the UNESCO world list as one of the first.
FIRST DAY
On the first day of their stay, a group of young people visited the school, got acquainted with Polish peers and watched a short artistic performance prepared by the Meandry Theater, which presented a sketch in English especially for the guests. After the performance, we went to the region's history lesson at Exploseum and Mint in Bydgoszcz.
SECOND DAY
On the second day of the visit, a trip to Gdańsk was planned, where the group visited the European Solidarity Center and the Old Town. The biggest attraction of the day turned out to be the medieval Teutonic castle in Malbork, which amazed with its size.
THIRD DAY
On the third day of their visit, the guests took photos of their stay in Gothic Toruń. From now on, Poland will be associated with Toruń gingerbread because they particularly liked the gingerbread history show during the gingerbread baking workshops at the Living Gingerbread Museum.
HOW DID THE STUDENTS LEARN ABOUT THE POLISH SITES?
The students were given a worksheet with the tasks for completion. The task was to answer the questions about the places they visited in Poland. The answers were given by the tour guides during the trips. During the tour students-guests discovered the history and the information about cultural heritage of the visited places through the tasks they got.
