Starting with the Staff Room at St Marys

Problem There were 2 large black sacks in the staffroom ..one labelled Recycling and the other Non-recyling. No signs or labels as to what should go into each sack, so the same things were going into both!

Apple cores, banana skins, coffee grouts, tea bags...could you or couldn't you recycle these?

Solution  we now have a labelled compost bin which the Global Councillors take in turns to empty into our new large Compost Bin in the Forest School area.

Recycling Biros, Felt Pens, Board markers, highlighters

Our Pen Box is overflowing and we will be taking it to be emptied at Martello School in Folkestone, the local hub.

 

 

We held a recycling bin competition to see which class could come up with the most original design. Our Local Member of Parliament Mr Damian Collins judged them when he came to see some of the International work we are doing at our school.
