Project Summary

  • The project "The role of ICT tools in motivating learning and increasing the quality of the educational act" is a strategic partnership between Dacia Technological High School, Romania, Burdur Mesleki ve Teknik Anadolu Lisesi Turkey, Liceo Scientifico Statale "Michele Guerrisi", Italy and Panevezio 5-oji gimnazija, Lithuania.

    We aim to promote the acquisition of knowledge and skills, to implement innovative and open practices in the digital domain, to strengthen the profile of the teaching profession.
    Its actuality derives from the objectives of the current governance program of Romania regarding the realization of e-education through learning by doing, experiential learning and cooperative learning. The present partnership aims to improve the digital competences in order to integrate them in the educational-educational process at the fields of Sciences, its objectives at the level of each partner being:
    - Involvement of a number of 10 teachers, until 30.08.2020, in the implementation of a program of activities involving the integration of ICT and innovative pedagogical methods in the teaching of science disciplines at the level of each partner school
    - Creating an OER Open Source Educational Software, digital learning and evaluation tools and materials, comprising a minimum of 10 transnational products, with the effect of increasing attractiveness, by 30.08.2020 school and facilitating learning.
    - Improvement of school results for 28 students, until 30.08.2020, at least 3 disciplines in the field of Sciences.
    The strategic partnership is made up of 3 partners who have experience in European projects and a partner who wants to start in this direction. All correspond to the age group of the school population (15-19 years).
    Each local project management team has teachers with: digital competences, IT skills, managerial skills, experience in project coordination, and professors teaching Science in the field.
    Exchange activities of student groups in LTT:
    Programming with STEM - Developing Communication Skills, Teamwork, Critical Thinking and Problem Solving by Learning Programming Using STEM - Science, Technology, Engineering and Mathematics - Turkey
    Motivate and find solutions by using the Visual Basic Application programming language to strengthen students 'and teachers' knowledge and skills in the mathematics and physics study - Italy
    Learning STEM with LEGO - introducing students to fascinating world of science and technology - Lithuania
    Applications of physics in mechanics and electronics presented using ICT tools - digital lesson management using e-learning platforms - Romania
    The results of the project are: Web site, brochure, e-book, eTwining space, published articles, documentary films, PPT presentations, PREZI, Pecha Kucha, Facebook page, open source OER.
    The project coordinator will be the person responsible for planning and executing activities and communicating with partner schools, will write the project documentation and report the progress of the project, coordinate the meetings and finalize the project.
    For each partner: a project team teacher will be responsible for training sessions for teachers and pupils, necessary materials and equipment, another will be responsible for promotion and public relations, and another for joint mobility arrangements: flight reservations , travel tickets, accommodation, insurance.
    The school accountant will be responsible for the project budget.
    The short, medium and long term impact of the project on the school, local, national and international community will consist of: implementing innovative practices in the teaching process, developing digital and linguistic skills and abilities, team building skills, the transdisciplinary and transnational character of learning, increasing the attractiveness of course classes, promoting examples of good practice, enhancing the partnership network, interest in engaging in European projects, and bringing it closer to European values.
    At the organization level, the impact will be to increase the prestige of the school, to increase the quality of the teaching process and to expand the partner network, and in the local community to improve the collaboration of the school with the local partners, the formation of civic behaviors in a global society.
    Providing free access to project products generates a positive impact on other local, regional, national and international organizations through transnationalization of acquisitions in terms of knowledge, abilities and attitudes.
