    Activity 5 : "Let's be volunteers"

Of course, the subjects you learn at school are very important, but there are other "skills" or qualities that are important in life. That's why, this last activity will be about what you can do not only to improve your CV but also to be a better human being!                                                                            With your team, you will imagine an action that can take place in one of your countries or online, which will improve the life of others.                                                                    Originally, we, the teachers, had thought you would do this as a kind of volunteer work in an elderly home, a nursery school, in a public garden, on the beach, in the countryside... during the Mobility to France, but because of the current situation and the absence of physical mobilities, you will have to do it online.

     - The action can be any type of volunteering work (ex : helping elderly people, young children, protecting the environment, giving free lessons, helping decorate your school ...etc)

    - You will have to present the activity either with a video or a document online.

    - Other students will react to your volunteering activity and all the activities /reactions will be posted on this Padlet :

On Thursday 22nd of April 2021, there was a virtual meeting of our schools, although French schools were on holidays, there were students and teachers attending the meeting from their homes. Spanish school had some technical problems and we couldn't have visual contact but they all were active participants.

Our erasmus+ students had the chance to get some inspiration and take answers on questions about how it is to be a university student and a volunteer in Greece.

Here is the interview with Katerina Athanasia, a university student and vice president of IEEE CS-branch (Computer Science) of NTUA, a volunteer organisation

In Collège Calmette et Guérin, this year, we had an English assistant coming from the UK, his name was Amos Edwards. Before being an assistant, this young man had worked as a volunteer in Calais, helping the refugees and the migrants. Two students from our school, Romane and Arthur interviewed him and you can hear his story in the following audio recording and get some inspiration as they did :
