                                                    Digital competence

Digital competence is undoubtely one of the most important part of the project. The students had to use computers, smartfones, laptops, projectors etc. to contact with each other. They recorded a lot of different films about their schools, hometowns, hobbies, healthy lifestyle, local food, Christmas traditions...In addition, they met on Skype several times, chatted online and and contacted(they still do!) via social networking sites. They also recorded goodbye videos to show how important the project was for them. Finally, they were putting a lot of their photos about themselves, their schools and healthy lifestyle. They also shared the materials from their virtual exchanges.

                                                   Cultural expression

Healthy lifestyle is one on the essential points that our school emphasizes. Therefore, the project and its main topic is the perfect opportunity to make the students even more aware of the importance and role that healthy living plays in our lives. All the activities fulfilled throughout the project are closely connected with the main topic. Moreover, the students learn a lot about health, food and keeping fit on English classes(which means that both English lessons at school and the eTwinning project are complementary to one another). Thanks to the project the students' benefits double - they get to know about healthy lifestyle and learn English at the same time. The students' textbook has a unit concerning the topic of the project. The project helped them  to compare other students' attitude to healthy living by the forum and quiz answers, talking on Skype and watching all the videos recorded throughout the project. Moreover, they shared their experience in eating habits, keeping fit, their pastimes and even Christmas traditions. In addition, they were talking about local food typical for Poland and Spain. Finally, they were learning how to be tolerant and respectful towards people of different nationalities and cultures.

Second Language skills - speaking and interaction

No doubt about the fact that English was the language used throughout the project. The students were communicating in English on Skype sessions, via social media, etc. Moreover, all the videos were recorded in English, let alone answering the forum and quizes questions in English, too. The students had to break the language barrier. Another advantage was building their self-confidence as far as English is concerned. They also undoubtely improved their language skills.
