    KA2 Project “Life and Job Skills for Successful Europeans” LJSSE
    in Dornbirn/Austria, BG Dornbirn
    24th February – 1st March, 2019

     

    Monday 25th of February. 
    In the morning Official welcome and warm-up, icebreaking activities, music,choir songs,music, speech of the headmaster, recycling workshop, presentations of all the countries, lunch - buffet with typical food from the six countries.
    After lunch we walked together to the city hall for our meeting with the mayor of Dornbirn, Andrea Kaufmann.
    After the meeting with the mayor we walked together to the train station where we caught the bus to Schwarzach/Rieger.
    Russmedia – Guided tour at Europe´s most progressive multi-niche media enterprise. Daily and weekly newspapers, various online platforms, print, logistics, radio and IT-services are the specialities of this company, with branches in 14 different countries in Europe.
    Social game evening at the school with pizza and drinks.
    Productive, educational, fun and overall amazing day

    Tuesday, 26 February 2019
    Meeting point at train station Dornbirn for our trip to the ski resort Lech by bus. 
    Rüfikopfbahn – we took the cable car up to the top of mountain Rüfikopf at 2350 m. We had good weather and a fantastic view. 
    Lunch at Schneggarei – we were invited by the owner of this typical restaurant. Many thanks for a wonderful lunch.
    After lunch we visited Lech-Oberlech, by cable car. We walked to the highest „ had a guided tour by the farmer and we met the cue highland cattle.
    Riding down to the valley by sleigh was fun for teachers and students!

    Wednesday, 27 February 2019
    Meeting point at the train station Dornbirn – bus station for our trip to Wolfurt.
    Doppelmayr Wolfurt, guided tour through this company which is the quality- technology- and market leader in the production of cable cars with branches abroad in more than 40 countries around the world. Until today they have built more than 14.900 cable car systems in 95 countries specializing in winter, as well as summer tourism and also public local traffic.
    Next stop was Mellau, a cosy village in the Bregenzer Wald.
    Lunch at M1 restaurant in Mellau.
    After lunch we took a cable car to go up to Rossstelle, right in the middle of the ski resort. Activities in the snow with sports teachers.
    “Schaukäsen” in Andelsbuch. We saw how cheese was produced and then we tasted it. 

    Dinner at restaurant „Sonne“ in Müselbach.

    Tour of the awesome school! An amazing biology lab with very interesting specimens and a beautiful colorful art class!
    Farewell party in the “Festsaal”. School band,
    Parents' representative's speech (Sandra Breuer), Piano (Raffaela Witzemann) and Song (Eva Drozd), Dance (Linda Graf), School band,
    Headmaster's speech (Dir. Markus Hermann),
    School band, Pupils dance together (Zillertaler Hochzeitsmarsch, Schuhplattler, Waltz)
    Dinner prepared by the parents of the students and teachers of BG Dornbirn.
    A fantastic day! A big thank you to all the parents, teachers and students involved and especially to Angelika Schmölz, Petra Nindl, and Erika Schuster for all their hard work.

    Friday, March 1 2019
    Our last day we walked around Dornbirn and enjoyed the market and the stadium art work.
    The end of a beautiful week with unforgettable memories, special hospitality and productive meetings. Thank you Austrian team for offering us this awesome week to cherish forever!!
