Report on 4th Transnational Project Meeting

    Report of 4th TPM in Lithuania from 24.-26.4.2019

     

    Place of meeting: Kauno Jono Lauziko specialioji mokykla, Kaunas

     

    Duration: 3 days

    Attendees: 13 in total (3 Germany, 2 Slovakia, 2 United Kingdom of Great Britain, 6 Lithuania)

     

     

    Wednesday, 24.4.2019

     

    1) Welcome by school headmaster Salomeja Ratkeviciene

    2) Guided tour on schools premises

    3) Jobshadowing: sports / housekeeping / lithuanian language

    4) Presentation of the school, discussions about teaching and classroom management

    5) Presentation of schools participation in "Special Olympics"

    6) Visit of outdoor area (new sport facilities)

    7) Visiting classrooms for special subjects: Ceramics/Woodcrafting/Handycraft

    Lunch

     

    8) Project work

    a. Final report

    Mrs Straker:Final report must refer to the announced results of the project proposal (application).

    b. Mrs Finke: project results are: case studies, flyers, outdoor manual, website.

    There are no costs for the website.

    Mrs. Straker will take care of the design of the flyer and the manual. The template  structure "Good Practice" is presented. Each country sends their results to Mrs. Straker, she  will correct the texts and put them on Twinspace. Mrs. Finke introduces the already completed German contribution: "Good Practice in Outdoor Learning, Germany, rock-climbing camp on the Ith"

    The design of the flyer requires the logo of the schools.

    c. E-Twinning project "Summer in my town": Request for pictures, Films or other Contributions on the platform.

    d. Presentation of the Europe day activity of the German school on 7.5 .: hike in the forest to the “Klüt”. It is suggested that the other countries also organize an activity and present some photos on Twinspace.

    e. Reflection LTTA in Slovakia: Huge thank-you to the Slovakian team for the good organization. The Lithuanian team asks for tips for planning the next LTTA. Especially useful was sharing rooms together with different nationalities, the labeling of room doors with names and photos and the reflections in the evening by the teams Mrs. Strakova shows a video of the LTTA and puts it on Twinspace. Ms. Kruopyte asks to take students who are able to walk long distances.

    f. Mrs Finke reports about the idea of ​​making a final meeting in Berlin with the remaining money of the project. Probably we can make a formal invitation via a contact to the Bundestag with the possibility to present the project to interested politicians. Everyone is interested.

     

     

    Thursday, 25.4.2019

     

    Journey to Nidda, Curonian Spit

     

    1) visit of the premises for LTTA

    2) Boat trip on the lagoon

    3) Visit of the restaurant, where meals are served during LTTA

    4) Walk to the Baltic Sea

     

     

    Friday, 26.4.2019

     

    1) Reflection of the previous day: Everybody agrees that the Curonian Spit suits to the project.

    2) Presentation of room plan. Discussion about students and staff sharing rooms. Team Slovakia has to be close to their Students. Team UK asks to put the English guys together in one room. They share a room with a German boy.

    3) Presentation of participants by the teams.

    4) Financial items: Team Lithuania asks to pay the invoice on receipt directly to the service provider, indicating school name and school number and to give Ms. Kruopyte an appropriate information.

    5) Meals: Meals are provided outside the accommodation in a local restaurant. Team Lithuania needs to know about food intolerances and aversions. Packed lunches can be prepared for the day trip if participants do not like fish.

    6) Arrival times: Mrs. Kruopyte tries to reserve parking on site.

    7) Packing list: Mrs. Kruopyte organizes umbrellas and beach mats and asks to think about sun cream. The risk of tick bites is mentioned. Torch is added.

    8) LTTA Program: as teams are leaving already on 22.06. the program has to be changed. Corresponding changes will be published by Lithuanian team.

    9) Daily routines: Wake up 7.30, morning exercise by a Lithuanian teacher (participation voluntary), breakfast at 9.30.

    10) The common room may be too small for all. It is suggested to offer activities in different rooms. Ms. Kruopyte travels to Nidda once again to look for outdoor alternatives.

    11) Evening activities should take place on the beach until sunset. Each day another country is responsible for activities. Team Slovakia brings a guitar. If anyone wants special music, please bring it on USB.

    12) Team Lithuania makes films and pictures.

    13) Final reflection of the TPM in Lithuania and the whole project so far: everybody agrees on: it is very positive, great learning effect at all levels among all participants, sustainability, great willingness to compromise, mutual respect and positive working atmosphere are highlighted.

    14) Final meeting Berlin: Date does not depend on whether the remaining money after the final report has already been paid or not. Everybody agrees on suggested date: Extended weekend Thu - Sun in December.

    15) Final report: Mrs Straker presents the final report of the last project. She will put it on Twinspace.
