Report of the 2. TPM 18/-20/4/18 in Hartlepool, UK
Place of meeting: Catcote Academy, Special education school for students age 11 to 19 with learning difficulties.
Duration: 3 days

17.4.2018 evening arrival in Hartlepool, checking in the hotel
18.4.2018 TPM Hartlepool, 1st working day
8.30am: Emma Starker welcomes the guests at the hotel, walk to school
9.00am: Refreshments at school, welcome from Alan Chapman, Headteacher
9.30am: Introduction to Catcote Academy and Trust
10.00am: Performance by Sign and Sing group, followed by tour of Trust facilities
12.30pm: Erasmus+ teams have lunch at The Vestry Cafe, as a training establishment part of Catcote Trust in the city of Hartlepool.
14.00pm: Project planning and discussions
1. Dissemination
The German Team shared an example of a list they are maintaining of dissemination activities. This was felt to be a useful tool to contribute to the final report and mobility tool for the project.
The costs for dissemination activities should be filled in the mobility tool.
2. Project website:
Project website - Slovakian partner is responsible for building the website and upload content provided by other partners. The website should be ready to launch in summer 2018.
3. Questionnaires
Discussion of questionnaires for use before and after LTTAs with stuff, students and parents/ carers. The group suggested amendments to make the design of the questionnaire more appropriate to students needs. These amendments were made with a consensus from all partners. The questionnaire will be further adapted to include visual symbols/pictures fo students who require this.
The group suggested and agreed additional items for inclusion on the questionnaire. The questionnaire will be finalized by the German team and emailed to partners and uploaded to Twinspace. The UK Team will provide assistance to amend part of the scale diagram. Partner school will complete the baseline questionnaire at the start of June and follow up version after the LTTA.
4. Communication
The English partner shared copies of the common phrases agreed during the first TPM in Germany, in each language with accompanying symbols. Each country provided verbal pronunciation for others to take notes of phonetics. Additional phrases were suggested and partners provided translations.
For the LTTA on the Ith everybody should be taught the key words for rope climbing. The German team will provide them on Twinspace.

19.04.2018 , TPM Hartlepool, 2nd working day
9.00am: arrival at school, refreshments
9.30am: Forest School taster session at Summerhill : Mr. Pounder as special Forest School teacher leads the group to the environments of the Summerhill Forest School. Students of Catcote Academy accompany the international teacher`s group for a practical methodical training session.
12.00noon: Lunch prepared by 6th Form Catering students of Catcote Academy.
13.00pm: Visit Foundation Learning sessions. Visiting Horticulture, Creative Arts and Catering in Catcote Academy and Hair and Beauty and Reprographics in Catcote Future.
Visiting Catcote Metro, a CatcoteTrust shop in Middleton Grange shopping centre, watching the project t-shirts being printed.
14.30pm: Return to school, refreshments
15.00pm: Project planning and discussions on the LTTA June 2018 (Germany, 9/6-15/6/18)
1. The daily scedule is presented by the German team, additional informations are given:
- Breakfast includes: Cereals, puffed rice, sandwiches, cheese, salami, breadrolls, jam, Nutella,
- groups arrive in the evening of Saturday night (from 17.00pm to 19.00pm app.)
- students should not bring their mobiles or tablets, they are allowed to bring a camera
- UK group leaves at Thursday night, SK and LT groups leave on Friday morning after breakfast.
- Times on the scedule are not the exact times, due to weather conditions and individual needs of students we have to be flexible on activities.
2. A plan of costs is presented and explained
- Every country gets an invoice after the LTTA and transfers the costs to the German bank account
3. Accommodation and materials
- A plan of the accommodation „Finkenborn“ is shown and explained. Discussion and solutions about rooms and accodomation for staff, girls and boys.
- The German team provides tents and mattresses for the campground. They will make a decision which students are going to share a tent and let the other teams know until the beginning of June.
- The Slovakian group is providing and bringing all the materials by themselves.

20.04.2018 TPM Hartlepool, 3rd working day

10.00am: Discussions, Project planning
1. Next Twin Space project „ spring in my town“ is explained by M. Finke. Everybody agrees to work on the subject and upload the results on Twin Space.
2. Mobility tool:
The UK team explains how to use the mobility tool for the project, examples are given for TPM and LTTA.
3. Planning of 2nd LTTA in UK in September 2018:
- Arrival of international groups: GE: rented minibus from the Newcastle Airport, SK: to be told in future, LT: come with an UK driver (schools staff) in a schools minibus, to be lifted from Newcastle Airport by UK partners.
- Discussion and solutions about rooms and accodomation for staff, girls and boys in Carlton Lodge Acitivity Centre.
- Breakfast and Lunch are prerared by Erasmus+ group, Uk teams provides welcome Dinner on first day, Pizza is to be ordered at farewell party. 4 evening Meals are catered by Carlton Lodge.
- Discussion on activities. Choices are made. Emma Straker will ask for the personal resources of centre`s staff. Costs of activities have to be transfered on UKs Bank account before start of summer holidays in UK. Activities on rainy days: towns to visit, museums, swimming.
- Kit list is discussed. Pocket money for e.g. sweets is possible to spend.
12.00noon: Lunch prepared by Class1
13.00pm: Travel to Carlton Lodge Activity Centre
14.00pm: Site visit to accomodation and facilities for LTTA in September 2018, Bunk House and outdoor activity space. Discussion about activities with house warden.
16.30pm: Return to hotel and end of TPM in Hartlepool.
