YEAR 2 - International Migrants Day, a celebration

  • As part of our joint project, we in FRANCE, decided to read and record essays written by pupils on the way they envision migrations in the future.

These recording were broadcasted on our school radio and were introduced to some other students, not directly involved in the project. Here are a few examples of their creation:

At Liceo Caracense, Spain, we had a number of activities to celebrate International Migrants' Day. In collaboration with Red Cross, Amnesty International and Manos Unidas, on Tuesday we showed documentaries and had a debate at the Guadalajara public library; on the same Tuesday, students with a migrant background shared their experience with their peers in a performance at our gym; we shared a hot chocolate on Thursday with Manos Unidas and invited passers-by to reflect on the situation of migrants and refugees; and on Friday we had a round table at the public library on migrations and human rights with the participation of all four organizations involved.
