A7 Spain - Interview with returned migrants

  • On December 15, 2017, as part of our activities for International Migrants' Day, we had an event with two of the teachers from our school (Aitana Sanz and Fernando Meza), who were interviewed by two students in our Joining Hands programme (Diego Galiano and Sara Hidalgo). It was a nice, relaxed, quite interesting chat, that was followed by some twenty students in 1st Bachillerato (11th grade)

Both teachers have a migrant background. Aitana Sanz, Spanish, former student from our school, Liceo Caracense, lived and worked for several years in the UK before returning to Spain in 2016. Fernando Meza, Colombian, lived for years in the USA, and then for several years in different African countries: Kenia, Ethiopia, Sudan... before settling (by now) in Spain. Aitana is a Science teacher, and Fernando teaches Catholic Religion.

    We are all travellers!!!!

It is a nice, relaxed chat. It lasts 22 minutes and it is worth listening to it. Enjoy.
