                                                            The Fanari Castle

       The castle is located on the highest part of a village ``Fanari``.Its history started 1000 years ago.It was built during the Byzantine Empire and since then it has faced hundreds of conquerors.It is made of stone and recently restored.It extends in an area of approximately 400 acres and attracts a large number of tourists every year.

The history of the castle started in the 13th century. It was restored and rebuilt innumerable times. As a result, it has rich past and a lot of historical furnishings. Moreover, there are plenty of excitings legends connected with this place.

 

 

               

       Dear friends,

Here in Cordoba, Spain, all our students (every year) visit ALCAZAR DE LOS REYES CRISTIANOS.

It´s our most famous castle and fortress and it has lived lots of adventures and historical facts.

Here you are an interesting link. We include it, this visit, in our curriculum because of it´s one of the most important point of our cultural heritage.
