                                       “It sounds like a….castle”

                          Project duration:  5 months January- May 2

                                                  Activities

     January-Fabruary

    • Tutors and student’s subscription in twinspace (receiving of codes)
    • Introduction to twinspace for all  tutors and pupils
    • Students presentation-personal profile /suggested web tool: voki: students present themselves in English, they also say a small sentence relative to the castle e.g : “my name is Hellen and I would like to be the princess of the castle” Also, as an alternative way, pupils can draw and post their own avatar.
    • Communication among the students through chatrooms in twinspace.
    • Country/Town/ school presentation (students take photos of their school and their hometown as well. After that they make a video with their tutors, including all  photos taken). /Suggested tool:ppt,slideshare, movie maker,you tube or vimeo,padlet,smilebox: video soundtrack : selection –after network investigation- is made by students. (typical country music or song). /tool:   google search.
    • Calendar plan: Creation of a common calendar in which each school will write down the exact day and time of all the scheduled activities. Suggested tool: google calendar ( the Greek/administrator school is going to open this web tool and then will share it with the project team)

    February- March

    • Castle presentation: suggested web tool: padlet,sound cloud, you tube: it may  contain: photos, video, simple historical information(elements in English, children’s drawings, sounds(all the castle sounds will be recorded by students), music(selected by students i.e folk song or any kind of music than can characterize the castle, either historically, or aesthetically, or in relation to the site itself, references (hyperlinks) or relevant songs, dances, castle presentation on you tube or any other website.
    • Competition for the project logo. All the countries will post their logos on twinspace. The students will vote for the best logo through the net. Suggested tool: google forms or easy polls (e-voting).(the Greek/administrator school is going to open this web tool and then will share it with the project team on twinspace).
    • Teleconference after agreement on time, during which each school may present a short free choice activity, like a song, a short theatrical play e.t.c. Then, make a video tape recording on this activity and post it on twinspace. E- tool : skype
    • Day against bullying: interchange drawings by twinspace

    Time- limit:  till March 20th

    March-April: 

    • Sounds of the castle: a)Pupils are going to walk around the castle, recording its sounds and then post them on twinspace.   b) We are going to compose simple melodies via noteflight.
    • A cooperative creation of a song: The Greek school opens up the collaborative tool “google documnents”or "titan pad", and writes the first two verses in English. Then, the Spanish school continues, next the Hungarian school, next the Polish school and finally we are going to dress the verses with music using "noteflight", record the song using "audacity" and post it on "sound cloud" and then on twinspace. Some of the suggested song titles are: 1) “the castle of love”, 2) “Making the castle of Europe”, or “European castle”, 3)”Let’s make our castle” or if you have any other ideas we are going to choose one.Suggested tool:  Google documents
    • A cooperative creation of a fairy tale We also use the collaborative tool “google doc”or "storybird". Greek school starts writing and illustrating the fairy tale with drawings created by the children or selected from the tool "storybird". The Spanish school continues the fairy tale writing, using children’s drawings or images from the e-tool as well. Then, the Polish and the Hungarian school does the same (writing and illustrating the fairy tale). Finally, all together we are going to discuss and write the end of the fairy tale.
    • Easter cards: Wishes for Easter holiday by twinspace.Tool:  Google doc.Time- limit: till April 30th

    Assesment of the project: The teachers and students who have taken part in the project, fill in an e-form (questionnaire) and post the results on twinspace.Tool: Google form (Greek school is going to open it and then share it with all the team)Time-limit:  till May 25th
