This is how we worked the story Susan Laughs in class:

    1) Active story-telling of the book while students figure out the moral and values implied in the story. Then, we watch the video of the story (go to "Materials-videos" on the Twinspace).

    2) Review and practise the vocabulary of actions mentioned in the story, using songs, video songs, TPR games, flashcards and pictograms, worksheets...

CEIP SERRANO CLAVERO SCHOOL- Requena, Spain- CLASS 1st A (Gema)

We were told the story by our teacher Gema and made some comments on every page in our mother tongue, also repeteaded all the names of actions in English. We were very surprised when we saw the last page of the book. It was so amazing! We loved that story!

Hello, here is how we did our homework, now we know Susan well, and, yes, she is just like us.

Polona put our photos and videos together and this is the result. Enjoy!

We read the story and later we talked about functional diversity. All the students commented, in mother tongue, that they could do what Susan does, just like her. They learnt some words about the story and finally they played a game of couples, they had to look for the images of the book with each pictogram.

Class 2nd made the game with the same cards but they had to look for the pairs saying, in English, the words from the story of Susan to their classmates.
