ATATURK LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOL WORKSHOP ECOLOGICAL SIZE REPORT 

1. In cooperation with TURMEPA Marine Clean Association, activities were organized in order to raise awareness in the students about the protection of the seas and the sustainability of the seas. 150 students took part in these events.

2. The herbarium exhibition was organized to raise awareness about the importance of protecting nature and natural equilibrium. The 5th grade students realized the importance of the plants they found in the nearby environment to the pharmaceutical and chemical industries.

In the context of World Environment Day (June 5, 2018), joint studies were organized with the University.

Natural history museum, botanical garden and Herbarium Waste Products Exhibition.

4. The project was supported by participating in the İzmir Provincial Directorate of National Education ARGE Coordinatorship to participate in the "Flowers in the Mountains of İzmir" competition. Contributed to the project.

5. Participated in the TUBITAK 4006 Project with 23 STEM Projects. Especially the Soilless Agriculture Project attracted great interest. Among the general objectives of the TUBITAK 4006 Project are the dissemination of STEM activities in schools throughout the country. Project-based education for students who have been working in our school has been assimilated. And some projects have created ecological awareness.

The Green Schools exhibition was organized. As part of this exhibition, Semiha ŞAHİN, associate professor of Dokuz Eylül University Faculty of Education, shared his work with the participating teachers as a seminar. In this exhibition he exhibited the photographs of the Schools called Ecological and Green School in USA.

7. STEM Discovery was broadcasted as a block writing on the stem Aliance Blog page with animations by MARIA CURIE drama events on the week. The difficulties of Maria CURIE as a female scientist in these drama events were portrayed by our female students. He also dram Turkey's our pride Women physicist at NASA's Professor Feryal private life. And in the world of science, our students were transferred to many successful women.
