FOURTH PROJECT MEETING IN PORTUGAL

    October 22nd  to october 24th, 2018.

    Our school invited the group of partners for the fourth transnational project meeting. All partner schools were represented by their coordinators plus one or two of their colleagues.

    Agenda: 

    Monday, 22nd october

    Partners met in Faro at the hotel, where the hosting coordinator Mrs. Susana Castro welcomed them and take them to visit to old town with a guide to know the monuments of the task Aurasma.

    The partners were invited to listen to a Portuguese guitar recital.

    In the afternoon the group went for a nature boat trip in Ria Formosa, considered one of the most important areas for aquatic birds in Portugal and protected species of plants and is part of the Natura 2000 Network.

    Tuesday, 23rd october

    The group left the hotel, in the morning, and visited the schools: E.B 1 Pontes de Marchil, E.B 1 Ilha do Ancão, E.B 1/JI de Montenegro.

    After lunch the group visited de school E.B.2/3 do Montenegro.

    In the afternoon some activities were developed at main school:

    - The Croatian teachers who are responsible for „Collect your coins“: demonstrate to a Portuguese class how they can draw fantasy coins and then change it into a professional looking digital coin with a „coin generator“.

    - Mr. David Costa will practise Scratch Junior with the rest of the partners in a "Short-term training activity" building on and reinforcing the earlier introduction to Scratch by our Bulgarian partners.  Mr. Costa is Professor at the Portuguese Education Ministry and Manager at Educom - APTE Associação Portuguesa de Telemática Educativa (PT) which is researching and developing a new ICT curriculum for Portuguese schools based on pilot initiatives and best practice in other countries.

    - Tynker exercise: The Irish coordinator Pádraig Ó Beirn repeats a short lesson on Tynker to help partners with any problems that might have arisen since the „Joint Training event“ in Croatia in July.

    - „Say hello in your new language“: Partners discuss the contents of that computer game to be produced next spring.

    At the end of the day the hosting school organised a dinner in the school in the presence of students and parents. Students presented traditional dances and songs  to the group.

    Wednesday, 24th october

    The project team was at school again to take some audio recordings with Portuguese children for the „School radio“.

    In the evening the whole group met for a final meeting and dinner, expressing their gratitude for this very successful meeting in Portugal.
