Europe is a continent full of beautiful nature. It is part of our heritage and needs protection. The EU has set up a network of 26.000 protected areas that spreads over all 28 states. It is called Natura 2000. Each of our schools have such a Natura 2000 area around them. Teachers visit such an area with their classes and teach them in a field study what is so precious about it.
