GENIKO LYKEIO VAMOU (Partner School)

Today Lyceum Vamos Chania is the only High School in the area east of Chania (excluding Sfakia GEL), which gives even greater importance to the educational effort being made to it. Every year a significant number of our school graduates admitted to colleges in universities and TEI country giving joy, hope and satisfaction to the local community of Vamos.
Our school comprises  about 200 students and 20 teachers. The interests of our staff are wide in scope and cover fields as humanities, art, history, ancient greek and modern greek language, maths, physics, biology, chemistry.
Being a relatively small school in a small community, our students rarely have the chance to meet people from other cultural backgrounds and we believe that an Erasmus+ partnership will bring a lot of benefits to them in this respect. The tendency nowadays is for students to be less accepting of one another, more alienated than previous generations and sometimes display violent behaviour. We believe that this is a great opportunity for our students to become more aware of themselves and the others, become more tolerant and reduce their proneness to verbal and physical violence.
