“L. Acciaiuoli” is a nautical school for students aged 14 to 19. There are actually 600 students attending our courses (+100% increase compared with four years ago). The school courses are organized in a common initial two year period and three years of specialization in the following areas:
• “Marine Navigation Technology diploma" - a course for ship navigation officers in commercial marine. Students are trained according to international Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW 95), with focus on: marine navigation, cargo handling and stowage, ship operations and safety;
• "Marine Engineering Technology diploma" – a course for ship Engineering Officer in commercial marine. Students are trained according to international Convention on Standards of Training, Certification and Watchkeeping for Seafarers (STCW 95) with focus on: marine engineering, electrical, electronic and control engineering, maintenance and repairing.
50% of our students start their career to become officer on merchant ships.
