5th Transnational Project Meeting in Patras - 1 & 2 March 2018

  • The fifth transnational Project Meeting was held in Patras on 1-2 March under the Erasmus +Program F.I.N.D. “Future Inventors New Discoveries”.

    On March 1st, we welcomed the partners in our school. Teachers who participated in the Project Meeting:

    1) Discussed about the course of the program so far and the results of each country's interim report

    2) Feedback and evaluation of activities took place:

    A12 "Analysis of personality questionnaires related to STEAM careers"

     A13 "Interviews with people in STEAM careers"

     A14 "Qualities to work in STEAM careers - Posters"

    that have taken place.

    3) Discussion on the organization of the A16 "Nobel prizes and inventions"

    4) Furthermore, the 6th Project Meeting was organized, as well as the 3rd Learning Activities Meeting to be held in Italy from 20 to 28 May 2018.

    In the framework of the Learning Activity A15, "Staff STEAM Training", the rest of the teachers presented collaborative tools that promote the teaching of STEAM training.

    The next day, on March 2, 2018, a scientific conference was held at the Museum of Science and Technology of the University of Patras under the subject: "Approaching the education of the future through the STEAM method". The conference was also attended by teachers who teach at the fifth and sixth grades of the 6th School District of Patras, apart from the teachers of the partner schools from the European Union.

    After the greetings and presentations, the teachers were divided into 3 groups and participated in 3 experiential workshops:

    1st "Energy"

    2nd "Understanding Physics through Art"

    3rd "Educational Robotics"

    A 2nd round of training activities followed, by switching sections.

    After the end of the workshops, a tour of the exhibits was held and the conference ended with discussion, synthesis of opinions and dissemination process of workshop results.
