Meeting in Malta - TPM

  • F.I.N.D. Project - Erasmus+

    Gozo, Malta - May 2017

The third Transnational Project Meeting was held in Gozo, Malta in May 2017. Gozo College Secondary School hosted this TPM, which included partner coordinators and teachers from UK, Greece, Italy, Poland and Norway - in all (apart from the Maltese partners) 15 teachers/head of schools.

The visit started with a cordial meeting with the head of school and assistant heads of Gozo College Secondary School. While the coordinators and some head of schools had their meetings, the other teachers had various visits both at school and also cultural visits. The partners had the opportunity also to meet the College Principal. Also, two persons from the Maltese National Agency (EUPA) visited us during the meetings, where we had the opportunity to ask questions as regatds Erasmus+ projects.

During the meetings we reviewed the robotics work that we had during the Learning Activity in Greece, where we also agreed to put some videos or photos in the project's website for this activity. We also discussed the coding art galleries and online educational games activities which should be ready by our next TPM in Norway.  Also, we discussed one main objective of the project i.e. more engagement of female students in STEAM, and while most countries have a good participation of females in the project, and every country had 50% or more females in the LA in Greece, still there exists the difficulty to include more females in STEAM, especially when it comes to job opportunties. The Norwegian partners prepared evaluation for 3 activities, where we had the opportunity to discuss them together. Also, we discussed activity A12 which involves career opportunities for our students according to their likes - which will be held at the beginning of next scholastic year.  During the meeting we also discussed the logistics of our TPM in Norway.  And finally in groups we discussed the questions of the Interim Report which is due around March 2018.

Of course the visit finished with a cultural event in Marsalforn, where participants in the afternoon had time to swim/walk and also finished the event with a BBQ in a Gozitan style.
