Why is making music so important for children?
Scientists and professionals have agreed for years: making music is good for children. A German research shows that children who have been more involved in making music for a number of years have a higher IQ. For years researchers have followed 6 to 12-year-old children who all had a similar IQ at the start. However, after 6 years, it appeared that the children that had been given extra music lessons had got a higher IQ than those who had not. These researchers claim music increases intelligence while problems with concentration will become less and locomotion(movement) is getting better.
